Table View

Table View lists your tasks as a spreadsheet of columns you choose, mixing built-in properties and custom fields, reordered by dragging the headers.

Table View showing tasks as spreadsheet rows with Status, Priority, Assignee, Due date and a custom field column.

Table View: drag to reorder columns, mixing built-in properties and custom fields.

What it does

Table View lists every task as a row in a spreadsheet-style grid, with one column per property you choose to show. Any built-in property or custom field on the list can become a column, in whatever order you drag them into. The task name stays pinned on the left as you scroll.

Who needs it

Anyone who wants to scan or compare data across many tasks at once, the way they would in a spreadsheet — checking estimates, or which custom field values are still blank — without leaving the app. Useful whenever a list's grouped, one-row-at-a-time layout hides more than it shows.

Why use it

A list groups tasks into sections; a table lays every field flat, so patterns and gaps across dozens of tasks are visible in one scan. Any custom field you've added shows up as its own column instead of being buried inside each task.

How it works

Table is one of six interchangeable lenses on the same tasks — same rows as List, Board and the rest, laid out as a plain grid with the task name pinned on the left.

Default columns: Status, Priority, Assignee, Due date and Est. (time estimate) are shown out of the box. Click + Add at the right of the header row to open the Fields panel, where you can turn on built-in properties such as Task ID, Created by, Date created/updated/done/closed, Start date, Dependencies, Linked tasks, Comments and Task Type, or any custom field that's been added to the list (text, number, currency, date, dropdown, checkbox or people, among others).

Drag a column header left or right to reorder it; the order is remembered for the list. Double-click a task's name to rename it inline without opening the task.

Click anywhere else on a row to open that task's full detail panel. There's no independent column sort in Table View today — rows follow the list's own manual order, the same order List View uses. To reorder rows by hand, drag them in List View instead.
