Sprints

Sprints are a regular list or folder flagged for the sidebar, with per-task Sprint Points that plug straight into Workload View's capacity math.

Sprints: a flagged list or folder with per-task Sprint Points.

What it does

A Sprint is a regular list or folder — same statuses, same views, same everything — flagged at creation so it's visually distinct in the sidebar. Tasks inside it, or any task anywhere, can carry Sprint Points: a story-point-style number kept separate from time estimates. There's no separate sprint entity behind it.

Who needs it

Software and product teams running sprint-based delivery who want their sprints to actually look like sprints in the sidebar. Also anyone who wants a lightweight capacity number that isn't tied to a specific time estimate.

Why use it

Naming a list "Sprint 14" gets you the label. Flagging it as a Sprint gets you the icon too, so a glance at the sidebar tells a running sprint apart from a backlog or a client folder without reading every name.

How it works

From the sidebar's + Create new menu, choose Sprint instead of List, or Sprint Folder instead of Folder on a Space. Both open the same creation dialog as an ordinary list or folder — a name, a Space to put it in, and a Make-private toggle — just titled "Create Sprint" / "Create Sprint Folder" and flagged accordingly.

A Sprint list or folder shows a running-person icon in the sidebar tree in place of the usual folder or list icon, so it's identifiable at a glance. Beyond that icon, it behaves exactly like any other list or folder: its own statuses, its own List/Board/Calendar/Gantt/Table/Workload views, its own custom fields, its own saved views. Everything documented for those views applies to a Sprint list without exception.

Sprint Points: every task has a "Sprint pts" field in its detail panel, next to the time-tracking Start/Stop control — a plain number from 0 to 999, typically scored on a Fibonacci scale, kept separate from any time estimate on the task. It isn't limited to tasks inside a Sprint list; any task can carry Sprint Points.

Sprint Points feed directly into Workload View: set its Calculate by control to Sprint points and each row's daily load is plotted in points instead of hours or a task count, against a default capacity of 5 points/day (adjustable).

There's no separate sprint start/end date, burndown chart, or automatic sprint rollover in the current build — a Sprint is the same list you already know, just labeled and pointed.
