What it does
A "+ Create" button in the top toolbar opens a single dialog that creates a task, a doc, or a reminder from anywhere in the app — you don't have to navigate into a list first. Next to it, Ctrl+K (Cmd+K on Mac) jumps straight to the search bar to find an existing task by name.
Who needs it
Anyone who has an idea mid-conversation and doesn't want to lose it hunting for the right list. Keyboard-first users who'd rather not touch the mouse to start typing a task name.
Why use it
Capturing a task takes one click and a name — the list picker is right there in the same dialog, defaulting to whichever list you can already access, so nothing forces you to stop and go find the right place first.
How it works
Click + Create in the top toolbar to open a dialog with three tabs: Task, Doc, and Reminder. Type a name, press Enter or click Create, and it's done.
Task: pick a destination list from a searchable tree of your Spaces, Folders, and Lists — only the ones you have access to are shown. If you only have access to one list, it's pre-selected automatically.
Doc: just needs a title — it's created as a new standalone doc, ready to move into a Space, Folder, or List afterward if you want it attached to something.
Reminder: set a due date and time, and choose whether you want to be notified when it comes due.
Global search (Ctrl+K / Cmd+K): jumps focus straight to the search bar in the top toolbar without you needing to click into it first. Type to search task names live — each result shows the task's status color and the list it belongs to — then follow "See all results" through to the full search page when the dropdown isn't enough.
